Human Expenditure Program came out in 2025 and was made by a small indie team called ShroomyChrist. Human Expenditure Program is a life simulation game combined with visual novel elements, where players manage the life and emotions of a deeply complex character. You look after Harvey, a guy with thoughts and emotions. What you decide to do affects how he feels and how the story unfolds.

You feed Harvey, play mini-games with him, and keep him happy. There are about five mini-games to mix things up, and the controls are simple enough for anyone to jump right in.
Every choice changes Harvey’s mood and memories. There are two different endings depending on what you do.
The game balances lighthearted moments with some serious stuff about care and responsibility.
It’s easy to pick up—no crazy skills needed.
Replay value is solid because of the different endings.
Heads up: there are flashing lights, so be careful if you’re sensitive to that.
If you’re into this, check out Steal a Brainrot — A fun Roblox game where you collect quirky characters, build bases, and compete with others.
If you want a thoughtful game you can play right in your browser, give Human Expenditure Program a shot. And don’t forget to explore more cool games online!
