Shady Cats Overview

Shady Cats is an arcade platformer about collecting fish while staying away from cats that copy your movements. It sounds easy at first. Move around, grab fish, and stay out of trouble. But there is a catch: after every 7 fish, a dark copy of the player appears and repeats an earlier route. There is no separate client to install. The game runs in a web browser, where the platform checks basic playability and performance. It is also reviewed during regular maintenance.

Stay Ahead of Every Shadow

Move around the level and pick up as many fish as possible. The tricky part is remembering where you have been. Each new shadow follows a path you already took, so an area that was safe a moment ago may become dangerous. Golden Fish are worth collecting because they raise the score multiplier. Fireflies are useful too, as they remove one shadow from the screen. Keep an eye on both while moving between platforms.

The controls are easy to pick up, but staying alive gets harder as the shadows build up. A round can end quite suddenly if you stop paying attention. This makes the game a good fit for quick attempts, especially when trying to beat a previous score.

Golden Fish can make a big difference to the final score, but do not chase one if it puts you too close to a shadow. Fireflies are worth saving for a difficult moment. In Crazy Mode, choose power-ups that help with the level ahead.
